Billy G. Castle, age 77 of Enon, formerly of Nippa, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday June 16, 2010 at his home following a long term illness.  He was born August 20, 1932, the son of the late Jonah and Edna (Adams) Castle.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert C. Hubbard; two brothers, Wilbur Castle and Ashley Castle; and a sister, Roberta (Castle) Spradlin.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (VanHoose) Castle; eight children, Mark Castle of Sitka, KY, Billie Hubbard of Springfield, OH, Verna Frei of Huber Heights, Bryan Castle of Dayton, Tressa Smith of Xenia, Shelley O’Connor of Enon, Myra Jones of Enon, and Adrian Castle of Urbana; three brothers, Jonah Castle, Jr. of WV, James and David Castle of KY; five sisters, Loraine Castle and Fay Lyon of KY, Janis Bone of IN, Kay Schmidt of TN, Brenda Watson of OH; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Billy loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His other hobbies included tending to his garden and coaching girls softball.  His family would like to extend a special thank you to VITAS Hospice, especially Kim Padgitt, for the loving care they provided.  The family will receive friends on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Monday June 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Joe Hoffman officiating.  Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice, 3055 Kettering Blvd., Suite 218, Moraine, OH 45439.
