Charles J. Felix, age 68 of Springfield, formerly of Piqua, passed away Monday May 31, 2010.  He was born February 21, 1941 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Harry and Leudema (Wise) Felix.  Charles was employed as a meat cutter, retiring after 42 years of service; and was an avid golfer.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles, Jr.; step-father, Charles Cron; and two brothers, Jack Felix and Bruce Clayton.  He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol; a son, D. Raymond Felix and wife Mary Ann of Columbus; two grandchildren, Jeremy Ray Felix and wife Lesley of Columbus, Angel French and husband Steve of Solsbury, Indiana; four great-grandsons, Anderson Charles Felix, Stephen Scott French, Chance French, and Deric French; two sisters, Shirley Ray Lenhart of Maplewood, Ohio, Janice Elaine Nill and husband Vern H. of Piqua; a sister-in-law, Jackie Sue Meyer and husband David of Oklahoma; five nephews, Bret, Bryan, Donald, Bill, and Steve; four nieces, Diane, Lisa, Amanda, and Jaime; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.  A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday June 3, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hustead Emergency Squad, 6215 Springfield-Xenia Rd., Springfield, OH 45502 –or- the American Lung Assoc., 4050 Executive Park Dr., Suite 402, Cincinnati, OH 45241.
