Dorothy F. “Dottie” Jordan, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away on Saturday June 5, 2010 in the Miami Valley Hospital.  She was born March 6, 1932 in Lawrence Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Alfred and Lizzie (Tomlin) Jordan.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Dale Jordan in 1952; and her husband Adam H. “Hack” Jordan in 2002.  She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Jordan-Smart and son-in-law Ronald Joseph Smart of Fairborn; as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many special friends.  Dottie was employed as a secretary with E.F. MacDonald Co. (Carlson Marketing), retiring in 1994 after 41 years of service.  She was a member of Fairborn Eagles #2641, American Legion Dignam-Whitmore Post 526, Moose Club #1068, Amvets #444; as well as the Fairborn Senior Citizens where she had volunteered.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Jim Mullholand officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Interment will follow in the Byron Cemetery.
