Kathleen Anne Steck, age 56 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday May 7, 2008 at home.  She was born August 12, 1951 in Kettering, the daughter of Jack Lee and Patricia Anne (Fee) Kalter.  Kathleen gave her all to her patients as a certified addiction registered nurse and a certified mental health nurse with Eastway Behavioral Healthcare. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Yellow Springs.  Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Jacqueline McManus; and father-in-law, George L. Steck.  Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Mark; three sons, Jeffrey Alan (Haydee) Steck of Chicago, Joshua Paul (Heather) Steck of Fairborn, Andrew Jacob Steck of Athens, Georgia; four grandchildren, Robert James, Sydney Kathryn, Sophia Rosella, Samuel Alan; her father of Kettering; three brothers, Michael (Linda) Kalter of Xenia, David Kalter of Sidney, Dennis Kalter of Dallas, TX; sister, Patricia Ferree of Kettering; brother-in-law, Jack (Barb) McManus of Cincinnati; mother-in-law, A. Rosella Steck of Miami Twp.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.  The family will receive friends on Sunday May 11, 2008 from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday May 12, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 308 Phillips St., Yellow Springs, Father Edward Burns officiating.  Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.  Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Dayton Children’s, One Children’s Plaza, Dayton, OH 45404.
