Jan M. Alexander

Jan M. Alexander, age 78 of Springfield, passed away Monday October 28, 2019.  She was born October 25, 1941 in New Boston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Blanche (Neal) Meenach.  

Jan was employed as a school bus driver with the Fairborn City Schools, retiring after 25 years of service.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her family was most important to her; and she enjoyed visiting with her card club ladies, the Buckeye Babes.  Jan was a member of Middle Urbana Baptist Church in Springfield and also appreciated her time spent at Evangelistic Outreach Ministries in Rubyville, OH and Gospel Baptist Church in Bonita Springs FL.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Austin and Naomi Alexander; and sister-in-law, Sue McCarter.  

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ken; three children, Kevin (Patty) Alexander of Springfield, Kenda (Leo) Kelley of Springfield, Kenneth (Suzanne) Alexander of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren, T.J., Jamie, Billy, Amie, Alex, Jessica, Jordon; 14 great-grandchildren, Josie, Grace, Jack, Matthew, Madison, Gabrielle, Berkley, Allyson, Aniyah, Caroline, Leo, Luna, Lily, Lyric; as well as extended family and many friends.  

The family will hold a private gathering and burial.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.StJude.org-or- the Wounded Warrior Project, www.WoundedWarriorProject.org in Jan’s memory.
