Katherine Ahlstrom

Katherine Ahlstrom, age 76 of Fairborn passed away Friday June 7, 2019.  She was born December 12, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Bystrom) Jensen.  She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Ahlstrom, and nephew Steve Jensen. Katherine is survived by her brother Arthur (Betty) Jensen; five children, Kirsten Ahlstrom, Helena (Doug) Jole, Peter Fred (Karen) Ahlstrom, Elizabeth "Betsey" Ahlstrom and Barbara (Kyle) Mills; three foster daughters; nine grandchildren; three neices; and four nephews.  Kathey was an avid gardener and enjoyed singing in the church choir and dancing.  She will be remembered for her caring heart and ability to make others feel valued. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 15, 2019 at 12:30 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3080 Bell Dr. Fairborn, with Bishop Kevin Ball officiating.  Family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
