Michael Howard Beverly, age 76 of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Thursday February 14, 2019 at the Hospice of Dayton. He was born June 3, 1942 in Dayton, the son of the late Howard and Mildred (Nye) Beverly. He married, Sharon, March 2, 1963. Mike served his country as a Navy medic during Vietnam and followed with employment at General Motors in plant security, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service. Following retirement, Mike had a few part time jobs that he enjoyed before moving to Spring Hill, Florida in 2002 where they enjoyed 14 memorable years. After moving back to Ohio, Mike became a member of Byron Church. He was a devout Ohio State fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Beverly. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sharon; two children, Kris (Jeff) Lajoie of Nebraska, Jeff (Dawn) Beverly of Xenia; five grandchildren, Heather and Amanda Lajoie, Josh (Lauren) Beverly, Nate Beverly, Hope Beverly; as well as other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Byron Church, 3230 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
