USAF MSgt. (Ret.) Alexander S. “Al” Dounouk passed away November 25, 2025 at Kettering Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born February 4, 1959, in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of the late Alan and Pamela (Murphy) Dounouk.Al proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, where he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. His commitment to duty continued as he transitioned to a career in civil service and later became a contractor at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. His experience and leadership were valued by all who worked alongside him, and he took great pride in his contributions to the nation. He found joy in building Harry Potter Lego sets and creating beautiful stained glass pieces..Al is survived by his beloved wife, Francine, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage; two sons, Andrew (Brittney) Dounouk and Sean (Allison) Dounouk; five cherished grandchildren: Jackson, Emma, Samantha, Kimberly, Danielle; brother, Keith (Karen) Dounouk; as well as extended family and friends.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Deacon Max Roadruck officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will be held on Wednesday December 3, 2025 at 9:00 A.M. at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Al.
