Arlie Scott Childers, age 57 of New Carlisle, passed away Sunday November 9, 2025 at the Miami Valley Hospital. Scott was born on August 5, 1967, in Xenia, the son of Arlie and Shannon (Whitt) Childers.
Scott was an avid motorcyclist, a NASCAR enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting. His interests extended to showcasing his individuality through tattoos, which reflected his adventurous spirit.
Above all, Scott took immense pride in being a devoted father and grandfather. He cherished the time spent with his four sons, William, Ryan, Winston, and Aron Childers, as well as his numerous grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He often expressed his pride in his family and found great joy in their accomplishments. Scott was also a loving pet owner, deeply devoted to his dog, Abby, who brought him companionship and joy.
He is also survived by his mother, Shannon Childers; two sisters, Lori Helton and Jennifer (Justin) Stewart; as well as numerous nephews, extended family, and many friends. Scott's enduring friendship with Dixie Evans was a significant part of his life, as she remained by his side until the end.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Arlie; his son, Scottie; and his paternal grandparents, Earl and Beneada Childers, along with his maternal grandparents, John Ed and Shirley Cottle.
Visitation will be held on November 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held the following day, November 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Road, Fairborn.
