Barbara E. Meadows

Barbara E. Meadows, age 80 of Fairborn passed away August 12, 2026. She was born September 4, 1945 in Matheny, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Ronnie and Sarah (Lyons) Calhoun.

Barbara was employed at Fifth Third bank with over 26 years of service before retiring. For many years, Barbara was a cherished wedding coordinator at Faith Baptist Church, Fairborn. Her attention to detail, warmth, and organizational skill helped countless couples embark on their new chapters with joy and confidence. She found joy in shopping, collecting Precious Moments figurines and Longaberger baskets.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; three brothers, Charles Calhoun, Ronald Calhoun, Danny Calhoun; and sister, Pat Parsons. Barbara is survived by two sons, Tim (Michelle) Meadows, Tom (Holly) Meadows; six grandchildren, Kaylee (Mark) Cantrell, Jacob (Kaitlyn) Meadows, Amanda Gutwein, Dallas Carson, Jordan Meadows, Chloe Meadows; three brothers, Kenneth (Carolyn) Calhoun, Robert Calhoun, Jerry (Drema) Calhoun’ as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Monday August 17, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2026 at 11:00 am, Pastor Andy Hahn officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest at Enon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in her memory.
