Barbara Ann Norris

Barbara Ann “Barb” Norris, age 76 of Fairborn, OH, passed away, Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born November 2, 1948, in Ft. Carson, El Paso County, CO, the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” and Regina (Krol) Lacey.

Barb dedicated many years of her career to public service at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she worked diligently before retiring. Her commitment to her job was matched only by her passion for life outside of work.

A lover of eating out, Barbara cherished the moments spent eating out at various restaurants. She frequently enjoyed gatherings at the Fairborn Amvets Post 444, a place that held a special place in her heart. Additionally, her hobbies included throwing darts, playing cards, and playing golf, specifically, with her league at Rocky Lakes Golf Course.

Above all, Barbara found great joy in spending time with her family. She was immensely proud of her seven granddaughters, forming loving bonds and creating cherished memories with each of them. Her family will forever remember her affectionate and nurturing spirit.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her spouse of 42 years, George F. Norris; and confidant, Mike Herbert. She is survived by her children, Jodi (Dave) Adams, Zac (Lisa) Norris, Jenni Watts; seven granddaughters, Alexis (Joe), Dakota (Kenny), Breanna (Charley), Lauren (Alex), Cassidy (Kevin), Deliliah, Elina; twelve great-grandchildren, Gunner, Joey, Alex, Rylee, Izabella “Bella”, Mia, Raydan, Lucas, Kenlee, Mason, Archie, Finley; siblings, Harold “Harry” (Kathy) Lacey, Karen (Nick) Weser; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Amvets Post 444 located at 428 Black Lane, Fairborn, OH, 45324 on August 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home.
