Betty Sue “Moore” McDaniel, 80, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. At 12:00 p.m., Betty left this world and went home to be with Jesus.

Betty was born July 18, 1946, to the late Isom and Sadie “Whitt” Moore. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Stephen McDaniel, and her son, Steven Boyd Rambo along with her brother in-law Gene Gonzalez.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Susan and James Rasor; her grandchildren, Nathan and Robin Rambo, Stephanie and Nick Lutz, and Jamie Rasor; and her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Hayden, Peyton, Mya, Wyatt, Shyanne, Jasmine, and Brandon. She was also blessed with two great-great-grandchildren, Nyomi and Jed. Betty was one of thirteen children and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who loved her dearly.

She shared a particularly special bond with her sisters, Kathy Gonzalez and Charlotte and Jim Tinglested; niece Michelle and John Sands; and nephews Mike and Patty Osborne and Mark Gonzalez, among many others who held a special place in her heart.

Betty was a woman who lived life on her own terms. She was truly one of a kind—a little bit of a wild card who lived life to the fullest and was never afraid to be herself. She was a spitfire when she needed to be, but underneath that strong personality was a heart full of love for the people she called hers.

Her family was her greatest treasure, and she especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved watching them grow, making memories with them, and showing them in her own special way just how much they meant to her. Those memories will be treasured for generations to come.

Betty was also proud of her career accomplishments. After obtaining her beautician license, she worked her way up to becoming a union leader for Jordan Products—a reflection of her determination, strength, and independent spirit.

Betty brought laughter, personality, love, and sometimes a little bit of chaos wherever she went. She had a way of leaving her mark on the people around her, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that Betty is now reunited with those she loved who went before her and is resting in the arms of Jesus.
