Charles Otis Osborne, Sr., age 82, of Fairborn, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 19, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 10, 1944, in Allock, Kentucky, Charles was the son of the late Otis and Vertie (Brewer) Osborne. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

For more than 50 years, Charles faithfully attended Fairborn Church of God/Victory Church, where he served in many capacities, including Sunday School Bus Driver, Councilman and Usher. He was a familiar and beloved presence in the church and was known for playing a spirited tambourine during worship. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement to those around him. He lived a life marked by faith, hard work, devotion to family, and a heart for serving others.

Charles retired from Gypsum Interiors following a dedicated career as a drywall finisher. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his strong work ethic and craftsmanship. After retirement, he continued to serve his community by working part-time as a custodian for Fairborn City Schools, where he was known for his reliability and friendly presence.

Above all, Charles cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Gracy Osborne, whom he married on July 23, 1966; his son, Charles Jr (Jennifer), and daughter Angie Osborne; his treasured grandchildren, Travis and Danielle Osborne; and his brother, Fred (Nola) Osborne. He also leaves behind many extended family members, church family, and friends who will deeply miss him. We rejoice in the assurance that Charles has been welcomed into his heavenly home.

Charles found joy in life's simple blessings. He loved spending time with his family and creating lasting memories while camping and fishing. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and watching cowboy and western movies. Whether sharing stories, teaching life lessons by the water, or simply enjoying time together, he left an imprint of love on those fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Victory Church, 2443 Valle Greene Drive, Fairborn, with Pastor Derek Trenum and Darrell Hill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Care 360 Hospice.
