Christine Louise Beck Nelson, age 80, of Fairborn, Ohio, died on September 26, 2026. She was born on August 2, 1946, in Garnett, Kansas. She graduated from The Fredonia High School and followed with employment at Beech Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas, and Wright-Patterson AFB in Fairborn, Ohio, from which she retired after 23 years of federal service. Christine attended the Byron Church in Fairborn. She married her beloved husband, Dale Edward Nelson, on July 3, 1971; he preceded her in death on August 16, 2026. Christine will be buried with her loved Pooh Bear, “Buddy.” A celebration of Christine’s life will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Byron Church, 3230 Trebein Road, Fairborn, with Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Byron Church in Christine’s memory. Christine’s tombstone reads “The Shell is here but the Nut is gone.”
