Dale J.C. Snow, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 26, 2025, in Fairborn, Ohio, at the age of 80. Born on March 6, 1945, in Middleburg, Kentucky, Dale lived a life filled with laughter and meaningful connections.
Dale enjoyed a distinguished career at Xenia Foundry and Machine, retiring as the plant supervisor in 2015 after over 35 years of service. His strong work ethic and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike. Known for his sense of humor, he had a knack for picking on everyone, which endeared him to many. Dale's playful spirit was complemented by his ability to create memorable nicknames for those around him, leaving a legacy of joyful memories.
An avid outdoorsman, Dale found great pleasure in hunting and fishing, activities he often shared with family and friends. His love for nature and adventure was a staple of his character, shaping many cherished moments spent in the company of loved ones.
A member of Indian Creek Baptist Church in Middleburg, KY, Dale’s commitment to his faith and community was evident throughout his life. He will be remembered not only for his humor and warmth but also for his unwavering support to those he loved.
Dale is survived by his three children, Gracie (Roy) Howell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Sheryl (Dean) Blessing of Springfield, and Shannon (Donna) Snow of Springfield; as well as eight grandchildren, Jacqueline Ledford, Christopher (Amy) Rodabaugh, Shayna Howell, Wendy (Robert) Butler, Melissa (Shawn) Littlejohn, Jonathan Blessing, Rebecca (Matt) Whitacre, Phillip (Margie) Blessing, Benjamin (Alexandria) Blessing, Matthew (Lilly) Snow; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; former spouse and mother of his children, Frances Snow. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Our Home Senior Living in Fairborn for the loving care they provided to Dale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde McCoy and Grace Elizabeth (Patterson) Snow; two sisters, Wanda Johnson and Wilma Robertson; step-mother, Nellie Phillippe; in-laws, Bill and Mae Dell Taylor; and a granddaughter, Melinda Jeanette Blessing.
Visitation for Dale J.C. Snow will be held on Saturday November 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 3:00 PM at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, located at 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn, Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating.
As we celebrate his life, we remember the joy he brought to all who knew him and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Day City Hospice.
