Don C. Walton, age 85 of Huber Heights passed away on November 1, 2025 at Miami Valley. He was born on February 19, 1940 in Cannel City, Kentucky, the son of the late Earl and Lavodis (Nickell) Walton.

Don played football and baseball for Fairborn High School and once shared a baseball field with Pete Rose before he went pro. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, demonstrating a commitment to duty. He followed with employment at NCR with his brother where he met the love of his life, Jacquelyn. He was then an owner/operator of several semi trucks contracted with many companies under his business, Don Walton Trucking. He said many times he could have driven to the moon and back with the amount of miles he logged. Don's love for sports was evident to all who knew him, providing a shared connection with family and friends alike. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving his semi, and tinkering with various projects. However, it was the time he spent with his family that brought him the greatest joy, especially giving his great-granddaughter rides on his lawn mower. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacquelyn Walton; son, Bobby Walton; stepson, Mark Williams; brother, Gary Walton; and uncle, James “Bud” Nickell.

Don is survived by his daughter, Trista Henne (fiancé, Troy); granddaughter, Chelsea Henne (fiancé, Trey); his great-grandchildren, Presley and Bennett; two sisters, Beverly (Paul) Zigmond, Sharon Osborne; sister-in-law, Louise Walton; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
