Gadford W. Robinson, born on July 5, 1939, in Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. He was a dedicated professional, retiring as a foreman from Alro Steel in Dayton, where he demonstrated commitment and leadership throughout his career. Following his retirement, Gadford channeled his industrious spirit into a side business mowing grass, further contributing to his community with the same dependable work ethic that defined his professional life.
An avid outdoorsman, Gadford found joy in gardening, fishing, and spending time in nature. These hobbies reflected his enjoyment of the outdoors and the tranquility it provided him over the years.
He is survived by his two sons, Tim Robinson (Celeste) and Rick Robinson (Maurene), both of Fairborn, Ohio. Gadford also leaves behind grandchildren, Dougie Robinson and Heather Robinson; and a sister, Ruby Goss of Seattle, Washington.
Gadford was preceded in death by his parents, Shafter and Florence (Barton) Robinson; his beloved wife, Ann, whom he married in July of 1959 and shared a lifetime of memories; siblings, Dorlene, Johnny, Rondall, Ed, and T.J.; and a grandson, James Robert Robinson.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Buck Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
Gadford W. Robinson’s life was marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of the outdoors. He will be remembered with respect and admiration by all who knew him.
