Gene Fredrick "Rick" Hollingshead, a devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully at his residence in Beavercreek on May 21, 2025. Born in Gallipolis, Ohio, on June 8, 1950, Rick lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love for those around him.
Rick was a retiree of Sibco Building Products, where he served his community as a building supplies salesman. His wit, knowledge, and friendly demeanor made him well-regarded among colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond his professional life, Rick was an avid sports fan, known for his passionate support of his favorite teams. He enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, drinking an ice-cold beer, and listening to his Top 100 Playlist. Rick’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. He treasured his time with his grandkids, Jack and Ally, and loved being their Papa.
Rick is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah, and their two children, Lindsay (Jamie) Steinbrunner and Ryan Hollingshead; two grandchildren, Ally and Jack; two sisters, Debbie Conrad and Jo (Kevin) Fitzharris; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lougene and Bonnie (Seymour) Hollingshead, and his brother-in-law, Kurt Conrad.
As we remember Rick, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rick was one of a kind and will be greatly missed
