George A. “Al” Beane IV, aged 93 passed away, Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was born September 5, 1932, in New Cumberland, PA, the son of the late George A. and Betty S. (Adams) Beane III.
Al dedicated his professional life to the field of engineering, notably working at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where his expertise significantly contributed to various projects.
To those who knew him, he was often seen wearing his signature bright red jacket during his daily walks, a testament to his commitment to an active lifestyle. Al was known for walking every single day, sometimes even several times a day, embodying a spirit of vitality and health that inspired those around him.
Al's character was marked by his kindness, gentle nature, and humility. He exuded a warmth that made everyone feel welcome, and his calm demeanor was a source of comfort to many. Neighbors recognized him not only for his distinctive attire but also for his ever-present smile and approachability. As a dedicated and devoted husband, Al was cherished by those closest to him. In addition to his parents, Al is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 45 years, Nina Lee (Ehmer) Beane. He is survived by three children, Donna Burton, Nancy Beane, David (Dana) Beane; three grandchildren, Danielle, Leanne, Adam; three great-grandchildren, Brianna, Aeroyn, Toekin; sister, Ila Marsh; close friend, Sharon Cotrill; extended family, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs, Rd., Fairborn, OH, 45324. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 AM until the time of service, Pastor Emily Haddox, officiating. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Beavercreek, OH. The family invites you immediately following the burial to the Bellbrook Presbyterian Church, 72 W. Franklin Street, Bellbrook, OH, 45305 for light refreshments and fellowship.
