Obituary

Glenn J. Davis, age 71 of Springfield, passed away on March 26, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1954, in Dayton, the son of James Davis and Lee (Procopio) Hill.

Glenn lived a life marked by service, craftsmanship, and devotion to his family. His commitment to serving his country was exemplified by his honorable service in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Glenn continued to contribute to the preservation of American history through his work as an exhibition specialist at the United States Air Force Museum. He was an avid enthusiast of bowling, woodworking, and cars, hobbies that brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity and precision.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his step-father, Roy Hill, and step-mother, Helen Davis. Glenn is survived by his father, James Davis; his loving wife, Sandy Davis; son, Paul (Leslie) Hicks; grandchildren, Mickey Hicks, Ashley Lovegrove; sister, Jama (Barry) Bailey and her husband, Barry; as well as nieces, nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 4, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Eric Meade officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. Glenn will be laid to rest with military honors will be held at Byron Cemetery.
