Gregory T. Japs

Gregory T. Japs, age 51, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, was born on August 24, 1973, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He passed away on May 27, 2025, in Fairborn. He was a man of many passions; he found joy in golfing, was a gifted artist, and had a profound respect for nature. Greg is survived by his mother, Patricia Japs; brother, Lee (Stephanie) Japs; sister, Lisa Japs; as well as his two nieces, Kailey and Isabella. Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Paul Japs, and two brothers, Kevin and Chris. The family asks for your thoughts and prayers as they reflect on the life of Greg, a man who touched lives. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Greg who dealt with Type I diabetes since the age of 14.
