Hazel I. Lewis Barker, age 86, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on May 2, 2025.
Hazel was born December 12, 1938 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Stephen Lewis and Gladys Fannin Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Eleanor Lewis, Bonnie Shumate, Lowrella Skaggs, and Martha Lewis. She was also preceded by her brother William Lewis; sister-in-law, Jesse Lewis; two brothers-in-law, Robert Allen and Danny Shumate.
Hazel was retired from being self employed at Betty’s Upholstery where she worked as an upholsterer for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and working crossword puzzles.
Hazel is survived by one son, Evan Christoper Barker (Candy) of Mad River Township, Ohio, and a grandson, Josh Barker (Drea) of Huber Heights, Ohio.
She is also survived by brothers Eugene (Garnett) Lewis of Fairborn, Ohio, and Jerry Lewis of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; sisters Betty (Billy Gene) Ison of Enon, Ohio, Evelyn (Paul) Hollon of Danville, Kentucky, Patty Allen of Henderson, Nevada; and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Hazel will be determined at a later date.
