Helen Helber

Helen Helber, age 85 of Fairborn passed away August 27, 2026. She was born June 16, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Ervin) Houston. Helen was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church Fairborn. She was known for sending cards and calling on friends that weren’t able to get out of the house. Helen was an avid reader, her favorite books being Chicken Soup for the Soul. Animal rescue was deeply important to her, and she regularly donated to animal rescue organizations. Helen is survived by her husband, Kent; two daughters, Staci (Michael) Humphrey, Krista (Matt) Smith; son, Mark Helber; grandchildren, Arabella Humphrey, Colton Humphrey, Ryan Smith, Nora Smith, Aubriella Helber, Alayah Helber, Azyrah Helber, Alexavier Helber; sister, Sarah Reeves; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to SICSA -or- World Wildlife Fund in memory of Helen.
