Julie Ann Rickert

Julie Ann Rickert, née Osborne, age 53 of Fairborn, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2026, at Soin Medical Center.

Julie will be remembered for her bubbly personality and for the joy she so freely shared with everyone she knew. She found happiness in sewing, crafting, and reading; and those simple pleasures reflected the warmth, creativity, and gentle spirit she brought into the lives of others.

Her faith was a guiding presence throughout her life and was a testament of love, service, and devotion. She gave herself generously to the church as a foundation to many ministries: from a Sunday School Teacher to book club member and an active core member of Fairborn’s City Church.

Above all, Julie treasured her family. She is survived by her husband Mark of 34 years; and by their children, Noah James E. Rickert, Logan M. Rickert, and Emily A. Rickert (partner Amy Laferty). She is also lovingly remembered by her father, Jim Osborne; her sisters-in-law, Tammy (and Patrick) Estepp, and Paula (and Keith) McQuate; and her aunts, Patricia Whitt and Annette Adkins along with many family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Osborne; her cousin and close friend Billy Suver, and her in-laws, Donald and Patricia Rickert.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fairborn City Church, 206 West Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, Ohio 45324. A funeral service will be held there on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Tim Walden officiating. Following the service, the burial will be at Byron Cemetery.

Julie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, in the faith she shared, the kindness she extended, and the joy she brought into every room.
