Karen Kay (Fannin) Duvall, 79, of Fairborn OH, passed away on December 31st, 2025 at 5:35 AM. She was peaceful, at home, and surrounded by her family.

Karen Kay, known to most as Kay and to family as Mamaw, was born on May 3rd, 1946 in Sandyhook, Kentucky to Ottis and Flora Fannin. She moved to Ohio in 1964 where she raised her two sons and created a beautiful life.

Kay was an avid gardener, loving homemaker, the Queen of DIY projects, the best Mamaw five young girls could ask for, and the matriarchal pillar of her family. Lovingly referred to by her granddaughters as the glue that held everything together.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Ovel Ottis Fannin and Flora (Lewis) Fannin; brothers Johnnie Lewis and Ovel Gary Fannin; sisters Monnie Mae (Fannin) Day; and Etta Dee (Fannin) Dean. She is survived by her husband, Frank ‘Butch’ Duvall and sons Scott (Aimee) Clevenger and Chris Clevenger; niece and honorary daughter Tamara (James) Augustine; sister Hetta Bee (Donald) Lyons; niece Teresa (Kent) Robinson; nephew Barry (Janae) Lyons; granddaughters Amanda Clevenger, Kayla (Cody) Loeber, Katelyn (Nathan) Sowards, and Kristen Clevenger; great nieces Alexandra Augustine, Melissa (Ron) Mason, and Jaylon Lyons; great nephews Tyler Augustine and Anthony (Kristie) Fields; great grandsons Jeremy Sowards and Langston Loeber; and much loved great-great niece and nephews. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment in this life can be noted as her family who loved her so incredibly much. She will be missed immensely.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
