Keith D. Remy

Keith D. Remy, a beloved community member and cherished family man, passed away on May 13, 2025, at Hospice Middletown, Ohio, at the age of 76. Born on March 5, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Aubrey and Betty (Bobst) Remy. Known for his unwavering support, Keith was a proud grandfather who never missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Brennan, Jaleigh, Parker and Jordan at their sporting events. His involvement in their lives was a testament to his deep-rooted love for family and commitment to nurturing the next generation.Keith's warmth and personality shone through in every endeavor he pursued. He was always there to help others, lending a hand wherever it was needed. His hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit; he found joy in riding motorcycles, maintaining the Greene Acres pool so others could enjoy it, and indulging in hunting and four-wheeling. These passions brought him great happiness and allowed him to create lasting memories with those he loved.He is remembered lovingly by his longtime partner, Terri Maxwell; his son, Chris Remy and daughter-in-law, Michelle; and his five adored grandchildren; three sisters, Karen Kistner (Rick), Kathy Rapp (Ronnie), Marsha Powers (Brian), and his brother, John Remy (Marcia). Additionally, he is survived by Terri’s daughters, Kelly (Brian) Burke and Jamie Stanford; sister-in-law, Leslie Boggs; brother-in-law, Michael (Pam) O’Toole; nieces, Megan O’Toole, Erin Payne; and extended family members.in addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Remy.A funeral service will be held on Monday May 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Belton Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Rob Roy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lewy Body Dementia.
