Kenneth E. Alexander

Kenneth E. Alexander, age 88 of Springfield, passed away Saturday August 29, 2026. He was born August 15, 1938 in New Boston, Ohio, the son of the late James and Naomi (Payne) Alexander. Ken was retired from General Motors as a pipe fitter. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was in the Dayton Hall of Fame for softball. Ken was a member of Middle Urbana Baptist Church in Springfield and also appreciated his time spent at Evangelistic Outreach Ministries in Rubyville, OH and Gospel Baptist Church in Bonita Springs FL.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Jan; sister, Sue McCarter; great great-grandson, Adam Jeffrey “A.J.” McDaniel, III. Ken is survived by three children, Kevin (Patty) Alexander of Springfield, Kenda (Leo) Kelley of Springfield, Kenneth (Suzanne) Alexander of Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren, T.J., Jamie, Billy, Amie, Alex, Jessica, Jordon; 15 great-grandchildren, Josie, Grace, Jack, Matthew, Madison, Gabrielle, Berkley, Allyson, Aniyah, Caroline, Leo, Luna, Lily, Lyric, Aly’ahna; as well as extended family and many friends.The family will hold a private gathering and burial.
