Kenneth R. "Ken" Fields, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on March 10, 1953, in Madison, Indiana, Ken lived a life defined by service and family.
Ken proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a weapons mechanic. Following his military service, he built a career at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, specializing in HVAC.
He enjoyed watching documentaries, immersing himself in various topics and histories. His passion for discovery extended to simulator games, where he found joy in the virtual adventures. Additionally, Ken had a longstanding fascination with finding Bigfoot, a pursuit that resonated with his adventurous spirit.
Ken is survived by four children, Shawn (Tammi) Fields, Clinton Fields, Gayle (Heather) Cantrill, and Patricia Cantrill; four grandchildren, Molly (Tanner) Parkins, Olivia (Jason) Baver, Tristan Campbrill, and Morgan Woods; great-grandchildren, Ellie Parkins, Karson Parkins, Wyatt Parkins, and James Baver; brother, Robert (Becky) Fields, two sisters, Linda Rook (Rick Hopkins) and Donna (Ossie) White, as well as extended family and friends who cherished him.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary (Gassert) Fields; beloved wife, Debra Fields; great-grandson, Gavin Parkins; two sisters, Marsha Scroggins, Nancy Sue Grider; two brothers, Anthony "Tony" Fields and Ricky L. Fields.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on May 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fairfield Cemetery, 730 Clover St., Fairborn.
