Linda L. Buchanan

Linda L. Buchanan, age 86 of Fairborn, passed away on September 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 26, 1940 in Crossville, TN, the daughter of the late William and Eula (England) Cope.

Linda built a long and dedicated career as a test driver for General Motors, serving for more than 30 years. She loved birds and butterflies, and enjoyed flowers. Above all, her family was at the center of her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her deep happiness and pride.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Garry Joe Buchanan; four children, Glenda Tool, Scott (Katrina) Buchanan, Victor (Angelica) Mockbee, Doug (Karen) Buchanan; 10.5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Hayden; three brothers, Edwin (Wilma Jean) Cope; Frank (Betty) Cope; Donald Cope (Kathy Tacinelli); best friend, Clarence Dossett; as well as extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Springfield Masonic Lodge (Festival Green House) on September 17, 2026 starting at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Linda.
