Michael E. Naragon, a dedicated realtor and beloved community member, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 at the Hospice of Dayton. Born on June 5, 1942, Michael lived a life marked by service, commitment, and a warm sense of humor that endeared him to many.
Michael enjoyed a distinguished career as a realtor in Greene County, serving his community for an impressive 48 years before retiring from Big Hill Realty. His professional accomplishments were paralleled by his education, having graduated from Fairborn High School, where he was an active member of the band and Miller's Blackhawks Drum Corps. He furthered his education at Wright State University, graduating in 1969.
A proud veteran, Michael served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. His dedication to duty and community extended beyond his professional and military life; he was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Fairborn, where he contributed to the life of the congregation.
Those who knew Michael will remember him for his great sense of humor and his uncanny ability to make others feel at ease. He had a genuine gift for connecting with people, a trait that undoubtedly contributed to his success as a realtor and made him a cherished friend.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Michele (Bruns) Naragon; a brother, Robert, and his wife Lee J. (Capstick) Naragon; sisters-in-law, Sharon L. (Nobling) Naragon, Frances L. Bruns, and Patricia M. (Bruns) Grzywinski; along with nieces and nephews, including Rev. Christena J. (Brian J.) Lutz, Mark R. Naragon, and Matthew A. Naragon. He also leaves behind great nieces and nephews, William Naragon, Isaac Lutz, and Katherine Lutz, as well as beloved cousins, Diana Wightman and Linda Roll, and Bruce Wightman.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd A. and Thelma L. (Stewart) Naragon; a brother, David A. Naragon; and a brother-in-law, Ronald G. Grzywinski. His legacy of kindness, service, and love will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday April 17, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 821 N. Central Ave., Fairborn, Pastor Gene Cline and Rev. Christena J. Lutz officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Trinity United Church of Christ, Fairborn.
