Michael E. Thompson

Michael E. Thompson, age 72 of Fairborn passed away August 18, 2026. He was born February 7, 1954 in Hodgenville, Kentucky, the son of the late Harold and Mildred (DeSpain) Thompson. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force Mike enjoyed listening to music; flea markets and yard sales. He was a member of Michael L. Finnell Masonic Lodge 711, F&AM in Fairborn. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred; and granddaughter, Rhyanna Skapik. Michael is survived by two daughters, Jessica (Mack) Brown; Brittany Thompson; Father, Harold; grandchildren, Ella, Elijah, Hailey, Jaycee, Raylon; two brothers, Tim Thompson (Jerri Prim); Steve (Chris) Thompson; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held on Monday August 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Chaplain Jimmy Mann, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Michael will be laid to rest with military honors at Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation in his memory.
