U.S. Army (Ret.) Kyle Casady, Jr., a devoted husband, father and friend passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1927 in Sprigg, West Virginia, the son of the late Kyle and Lula Casady. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He served overseas in Germany, France, Korea and Thailand, retiring after over 27 years of service. Kyle later worked for Dille Clinical Laboratory as a carrier and later a supervisor. His hobbies included traveling and he enjoyed spending time with family.
Kyle is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Margareta; their sons, Karl and Mark; sister, Myrtle; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and extended family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Terry Lee; sisters, Sylvia, Viola, Stepherene; brothers, Bill and David.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
