Naomi I. Cartwright, age 71 of Fairborn, passed away August 19, 2025 at the Soin Medical Center.  She was born October 21, 1953 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sam and Goldie (Lemaster) Jenkins  Naomi's journey through life was marked by compassion, dedication, and a gentle spirit that touched the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Naomi was a graduate of Greenon High School and later attended Sandhills Community College, where she learned the skills that would serve her throughout her fulfilling career. As a surgical technician, Naomi worked with unwavering commitment at Greene Memorial Hospital and later at Richmond Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. Her colleagues admired her meticulous attention to detail and her kind demeanor, which created an atmosphere of trust and camaraderie in the operating room.

Throughout her life, Naomi exemplified a love for her family and friends that was as boundless as her care for her patients. She was a devoted friend, always ready with a listening ear or a warm embrace, leaving a profound impact on those around her. Naomi's laughter and radiant smile were contagious, brightening even the darkest days and fostering connections that will be cherished forever.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three siblings, Donna Bear, Randall Jenkins, Farley Jenkins.  Survivors include two children, Andrew Cartwright, Kellie Johnson (Lanny Edward) of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Morgan, Mackenzie, Kathryn; two brothers, Harlow Jenkins, Ralph Jenkins; two sisters, Debbie (Sammy) Combs, Sarah (Clavis) Stamper; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. 

A celebration of life gathering and service will be held soon by the family.  Once a date and time has been finalized this listing on our website will be updated.
