Nila Lee Kaempf

Nila Kaempf, age 81of Fairborn passed away August 30, 2025 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1943 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Carl and Jean (Lowrie) Love. Nila was a longtime member of Mary Help of Christians Church. She worked as a psychiatric attendant at Twin Valley Behavioral Facility, retiring after 300 years of service. She was very involved in NAMI, the National Alliance for Mentally Ill. Her journey through life was marked by compassion, dedication and a gentle spirit that touched many hearts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son John Kaempf; brother, John Love. Nila is survived by two grandsons, Kyle and Ian; sister-in-law, Rose Love; nieces, Amanda Crabille, Heather Schum, Gwendolyn Manye; great nieces, Caitlyn Brackett, Jenna Mayne, Miley Crabille. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on September 17, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Mary Help of Christians Church, 954 S. Maple Ave, Fairborn, Father Ambrose Dobrozsi celebrant. Nila will be inurned with her son at Byron Cemetery.
