Norris Lee Hicks Sr.

Norris Hicks Sr. (Dad) was born January 26, 1945 to his beloved parents RC Hicks and Carrie Elizabeth Strickland-Daniel in Franklin, Georgia. We are saddened to announce on March 7, 2026 he fell asleep in death surrounded by his loving family. 

He is survived by his caring children Karen Hicks, Sherry Arnold, Stephanie Woods, Norris Hicks Jr., Anthony Hicks (Susie), Frank Hicks (Recci), brothers Percy Eugene Daniel and Terry Daniel, and many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years Arlette Hicks, his parents RC Hicks and Carrie Elizabeth Strickland-Daniel, his brother Willie Hicks and his granddaughter Brittany McCombs. 

Norris was an accomplished machine repairman and tax professional for many decades but his proudest achievement was being a servant of Jehovah for over 50 years. He served as an elder and pioneer for countless years and was deeply loved and respected by his spiritual family. We thank you for your support, prayers, and privacy as we continue to grieve until the day “all those in the memorial tombs will… come out” (John 5:28,29).

Funeral services will be held at the Southwest Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1015 Liscum Dr, Dayton, OH, 45417, on Friday, March 20th at 11:00 AM. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00AM.
