Patricia Alice "Pat" Coleman

Patricia Alice Coleman, 83, of Xenia, Ohio passed away Monday, 7 April 2025, at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio. Pat was born 4 October 1941 in Buchanan County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Jay C. Coleman and Oressa (Lear) Coleman.

She graduated from Garden High School in 1959, earned her undergraduate degree from Freed-Hardeman University and received her Master’s Degree from Murray State University. She taught music and elementary school in the Buchanan County, Virginia School System and upon her retirement, she followed another passion and owned, operated and instructed at Southwest Virginia School of Cosmetology in Richlands, Virginia.

She eventually relocated to Ohio and lived out her retirement there. Pat was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Fairborn, Ohio. Pat is survived by one daughter, Susan Jewell of Richlands, Virginia, One granddaughter (Nikki), three great grandchildren (Chasilyn, Jeramie and Natalie) and one great-great grandson (Rodney IV).
