Bob also enjoyed an active lifestyle, playing tennis for 50 years and enjoyed fishing and bowling. His love for the outdoors often found him at the family's cabin in the Upper Peninsula, creating lasting memories with loved ones.

He was an outstanding and loving grandfather to seven grandkids: Todd (Jennifer) Koogler, Kara (Justin) Gooch, Whitney (Sam) McConnell, Chad (Liz) Richie, Emily Rake, and Claire Rake; and a caring and proud great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren: Todd, Colton, Callie, Samantha, Carlee, Caiden, and Noah.
