Fairborn, OH

Ronald “Ronnie” Jay Bolin, aged 66 of Fairborn, OH, passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2026. He was born on March 13, 1960, in Xenia, OH, the son of Edison Bolin (West Liberty, KY) and Martha Zolia (Hazard, KY).

“Ronnie” as he was known to those closest to him grew up and attended school in Fairborn, OH and Helena, MT. One of his fondest school memories was 6th grade, Mr. Riddles’s class at South Elementary where he became a ping pong champion. His professional life was defined by his many years as an Autobody Technician, with the last 15+ years at Chuck's Body Shop LLC in Fairborn, where his coworkers and clients alike respected him for his skill and diligence. True to his humble nature, Ronnie referred to himself simply as a “Body-Man”.

He was a devoted follower of Ohio sports teams. Cincinnati football and baseball, proudly cheering for the Reds and Bengals through every season, while also showing his love for the Ohio State Buckeyes, O-H-I-O! After a long day’s work, he enjoyed relaxing with a friendly game of poker or enjoying a whiskey or two, always appreciating life’s simple pleasures.

Ronnie had an adventurous spirit. He thrived in Montana’s rugged landscape, finding great pride in embracing its solitude and challenges. There, Ronnie became an avid hunter, seeking big game elk and deer, and he found peace and joy in fishing the area’s Canyon Ferry and Park Lakes’ pristine waters. These experiences in Montana remained some of his proudest and most treasured memories.

He is remembered for his hard work, kindness to everyone, and his love of the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and whose lives he touched through his work, his companionship, and his stories.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Ronnie is survived by his brother, John Bolin of Fairborn, OH, sisters, Linda (Bill) Pittman of New Carlisle, OH, Kathy Edwards of Fairborn, OH; two nephews, Matthew (Kelli) Pittman of New Carlisle, OH, Stephan Edwards of Lima, OH; one great-niece, Karleigh Pittman; extended family in Kentucky, and friends in Ohio and Montana.
