Ross Alan Van Dyke

Ross Alan Van Dyke, aged 39 passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 5, 2026. He was born January 20, 1987, in Dayton, OH, the son of Ronald Alan Van Dyke and Joy Jean Diamond.

Ross was a bright soul who had the unique gift of making everyone in the room laugh. His jokes could go on forever, filling the air with joy and laughter. He carried an ego as big as anyone’s, and he made sure you noticed it — not out of arrogance, but from a confident charm that was distinctly his own. Despite his bold personality, he loved his family deeply and kept his friends close, holding each relationship with great care and sincerity. He was beloved by many, from the guy at the gas station to those he called his closest friends and family. He had a way of making people feel special and valued, whether through a quick joke, an encouraging word, or simple kindness.

Ross's life was marked by laughter, love, family, and a spirit that touched the hearts of so many. He will be remembered fondly for his humor, his loving nature, and the joy he brought to everyone he met.

Ross is survived by his wife, Angela Van Dyke; end-of-life partner, Amanda Montgomery; grandparents, Shirley and Robert Van Dyke; father, Ron Van Dyke (Ada Van Dyke); mother, Joy Meyer (Kevin Meyer); brother, Bryce Adams (Cody Adams); four children, Lillian Amon, Collin Amon, Abbie Van Dyke, and Allaina Van Dyke; daughter-in-law, Leah Shafer; one granddaughter, Coraline Amon; extended family, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Burley and Emarie Diamond.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30PM, Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH, 45324. The family will receive visitors from 12:00PM until the time of service, Pastor Eric D. Meade, officiating. Burial to follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, OH.
