Steven M. "Weebs" Sartori, age 69 of Fairborn passed away August 2, 2026. He was born June 23, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Raoul and Martha (Lyon) Sartori.
Throughout his years, Steve found delight in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid cook, able to turn a handful of ingredients into a meal that always brought people together. Cooking, for Steve, was not just a hobby but an act of love, a way to nurture those around him.
Boating and fishing were lifelong passions, pursuits that brought him adventure and connection to the natural world. Whether navigating a quiet lake or casting lines, he cherished these moments.
He was a longtime member of Byron Church and volunteer for Fairborn FISH.
Steve is survived by his wife Paula; children, John Gaupmann, Joshua (Morgan) Gaupmann; four siblings, Nina (Carl) Stromberg, Doug (Debra) Sartori, Barbara (John) Turner; Jack (Joanna) Sartori; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Steven’s warmth, kindness, and wisdom left a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to cross his path. Though details of his career and familial relationships are not specified here, his presence will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Byron Church, 3230 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wedsley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fairborn FISH or Humane Society of Dayton.
