Usaf Msgt. (Ret.) John A. Flanagan

USAF MSgt. (Ret.) John A. Flanagan, age 87 of Fairborn, passed away Friday October 20, 2023 at the Soin Medical Center.  He was born October 12, 1936 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the son of the late Andrew J. and Marion J. (Janules) Flanagan.

John served his country in the United States Air Force as a communication specialist, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant after 26 years of service.  He then was employed at One Lincoln Place in security for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Zenaida; two children, Brian Brugada and Cat Flanagan, both of Fairborn; as well as other extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service.
