Wanda L. Godsey, born on February 27, 1943, in Highland County, Ohio, passed away on May 1, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her.

Wanda was a person of many interests and passions. She found joy in gardening; tending to her flowers; word puzzles; and going out to eat. Her love extended to animals, whose companionship brought warmth and happiness throughout her days. Wanda also enjoyed shopping and traveling, embracing opportunities to explore new places and experiences.

Wanda is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma King; grandparents, Margaret Marie and James King; sister, Katherine Holder; and her cousin, Mary Cox. She is survived by her brother, James King; cousin Twilla "Ty" Swackhamer; special Nanny to Rebecca Cox, Lacey Taylor, Meressia Swan, Peyton McKenzie, Peycie, Lucas; as well as extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor D.J. Hatfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Harwood Cemetery in Danville, Ohio.
