Zona Reedy

Zona “Gonzo” Reedy, age 73 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. She was born May 23, 1952 in Pineville, Kentucky. A cherished member of her community, Zona was known for her warm spirit and her passion for life.

Throughout her years, Zona cultivated a notable array of hobbies and interests that brought joy not only to herself but also to those around her. She found comfort and creativity in crocheting, a craft that allowed her to create beautiful pieces that were often gifts to friends and family. Zona enjoyed the strategic nature of playing cards, where she loved to gather with family friends for friendly competitions filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Her affinity for the outdoors was apparent in her love for fishing, where serene moments by the water brought her peace. Zona was also an avid enthusiast of garage sales, always on the hunt for a hidden treasure or a delightful bargain. Additionally, she cherished her time spent watching "The Price Is Right" and "The Andy Griffith Show," shows that brought a sense of nostalgia and happiness into her home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Lewis; two brothers, Casey and Dwayne; and two sisters, Nora and Shirley.  Survivors include her son, Kevin of Fairborn; two sisters, Bobbie Jean and Velma, both of Enon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  

Zona will be remembered for her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought to every gathering. Her legacy will be celebrated by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation for Zona Reedy will be held on Monday July 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Both services will take place at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, located at 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, OH 45324. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.

Though she has departed from this world, the memories of Zona will live on in the hearts of many.
