Barbara L. Lockett

Barbara L. Lockett, age 84 of Fairborn passed away October 4, 2021 with her loving family by her side.  She was born April 26, 1937 in Columbia, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Lewis and Berline (Head) Redmond.  Barbara was retired from the Officer’s Club at Wright- Patterson AFB after many years of service.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping, and her love for decorating will always be remembered.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Buddy Charles Lockett; sister, Evelyn Redfern; and brother, Kenneth Redmond.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Blair Lockett; two daughters, Cristie (John T., III) Walsh, Donna Norman; two sons, Graham Lockett, Blair Lockett Jr.; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Tyler) Martin, Alexia Lockett, Destiny Lockett, David McGill, Cody Lockett, Dottie Lockett, Little Blair Lockett; seven great-grandchildren, Lochlain, Gwyneth, Aspen, Thiago, Eloize, Gracelynn, Braden; sister, Mary Martin; brother, Jerry Redmond; as well as extended family.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 9, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Keith Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  The family requests that you please dress casual if you’re attending.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital (Dayton) – or- Towards Independence (Xenia) in memory of Barbara.
