Barbara Jean Singleton, nee Flatter, age 74 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday March 20, 2021 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 21, 1946 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Harold Dean and Ruth Eileen (Thompson) Flatter.
Barbara was a 1965 Fairborn High School graduate and continued her education at a business college in Columbus. She was employed for the majority of her career in finance. Her memberships included the American Business Women’s Association, Red Hats, Order of the Eastern Star, and White Shrine.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyne Hepler. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Marvin; a son, Robert Peebles of Fairborn; sister, Judy Cooper of Xenia and her daughter, Brandee Naff; brother, Gerald David Flatter; as well as other extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 25, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
