Boomer Ellison, age 51 of Beavercreek, passed away unexpectedly Sunday November 12, 2023. He was born December 23, 1971 at Patrick AFB, Florida, the son of Edward and Maureen (McCann) Ellison.
Boomer was a 1990 graduate of Stebbins High School and was currently employed with Greater Dayton RTA as an electronic specialist, just one of the many positions he had held for close to 30 years with RTA.
Boomer attended First Baptist Church of Kettering with his family. His fun-loving nature and willingness to lend a helping hand are what made him an integral part of the drag racing community. He valued the many bonds and friendships that were made over the years.
Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and two infant children. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sherri; three children, Edmond Ellison (Jessica Wuerstl), McKenzie Ellison (Mikey Collier), Caleb Ellison (Bailey Lischke); two grandsons, Henry and Theodore; his parents of Wisconsin; a brother, Sean Ellison of Oklahoma; a sister, Michelle (Drew) Sanders of Wisconsin; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Elaine Bowman of Beavercreek; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Heather) Bowman, Rob (Jessica) Bowman; sister-in-law, Lisa Bowman; nieces and nephews, Ethan, John-Paul, Zamar, Liam, Ryan, Levi, Dylan, and Hailey; a great niece, Harper; as well as numerous other extended family and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM. at the First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Rd., Beavercreek, Dr. David Rakes officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Kettering.
