Obituary

Local golf courses, his beloved Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and his family and friends are all in mourning following the passing of Carl Scott Broadstock, age 59, of Fairborn, Ohio, on Tuesday, March 15. His children are eternally grateful to Joe Burrow, Zac Taylor, and the entire Bengals organization for pulling off a Superbowl appearance just in time for one of their biggest fans.

Carl was born on October 12, 1962, at RAF Molesworth, Cambridgeshire, England, to John Robert Broadstock and Elizabeth Gwendolyn Harris Broadstock. He grew up around the United States, before settling in Huber Heights, where he graduated from Wayne High School in 1981. Carl was a successful CNC Technician and Machinist for more than 35 years, working at numerous companies, including Delphi Automotive Systems, Delphi-Harrison Thermal Products, Pall Aerospace Corp., and most recently at Precision Aero Corporation.

He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, John R. Broadstock, Jr. He is survived by his three children Megan (Aaron) Anthony of Enon, Ohio; Nicole Broadstock of San Francisco, California, and Austin Broadstock, of Dillon, Colorado; his grandchildren Lea Nicole, Nathaniel William and Caroline Elizabeth Anthony of Enon, Ohio; his sister Debra (Ron) Dodson of Fairborn, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor June Fryman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Private inurnment will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Carl’s name be made to Lutheran World Relief’s Crisis in Ukraine fund.
