Carl Kleysteuber, 74 of Fairborn, OH, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Carl, a retired Air Force Captain and retired federal service employee for 32 years, was a graduate of Duquesne University and received his Master’s degree from Oklahoma University. CK worked as a computer specialist for Keesler AFB in Mississippi, CCPC at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, NCR in Dayton, and Wright-Patt AFB in Ohio. Carl was an active member of St. Luke Parish, Eucharistic Minister, active player of golf, bowling, volleyball, softball, and intramural flag football, Soccer Coach for his daughter, volunteer cafeteria worker at MHC, Basketball Coach for his son, Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 37, Religious Emblems Counselor for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, cooked and served meals at St. Vincent De Paul Hotel, volunteer at James Ranch in Xenia, and was always available to help his neighbors. His greatest joy was being with his children and grandchildren and the travels he and his wife enjoyed together. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Theresa Kleysteuber; brother-in-law, Carl Riska; niece, Jennifer Andrew. Carl is survived by his wife of 49 years, Christine Kleysteuber; daughter, Karen Karhoff and husband Jeff; son, Peter Kleysteuber and wife Kati; grandsons, Christopher, Jonathan, Benjamin, and Joseph Carl; sister, Mary Matlak and husband Charles; sister-in-law, Judi Riska; nephews, Michael Riska and wife Gail, and Daniel Riska and wife Gloria; grand nieces and nephews, Sarah, Andrew, Brianna, Colton, and Sydney. A visitation will be held on Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday February 4, 2021 at 10:30 A.M at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1442 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, Rev. Terrance Schneider celebrant.
