Cora E. Hatfield

Cora E. Hatfield, age 75, of Fairborn, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. She was born June 18, 1946 in Van, West Virginia; the daughter of the late David and Erma (Lily) Moyer. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, David Moyer, Myrl Moyer, Marlene Hughes, Alberta Richardson, and John Wade Moyer; and son-in-law, Bruce Hollingshead. Cora is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Mark Hatfield; children, Melinda Hollingshead (Scott Griesheimer), Scott (Cindy) Moyer, and Rusty (Renee) Hatfield; grandchildren, Sarah Hammond, Hannah Weikers, Aaron Page, Rachel (Josh) Luis, Chrissy Moyer, Cody Hatfield, Michael DiFora Christopher Hatfield, Elijah Hatfield; great-granddaughter, Sophia. Cora worked as a Radiology Technician at Grandview Medical Center for many years until her retirement; and she also served as a softball coach. In her free time, she loved playing field hockey and ball room dancing. What Cora cherished most was her dogs and loving family. A funeral service will be held on October 14, 2021 at 2 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH 45324. Family and friends may visit from 1 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery, Medway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Hospice of Dayton as the staff kindly took care of Cora.
