David K. Semler, age 67, of Fairborn, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021. He was born January 15, 1954 in Xenia, Ohio; the son of the late Paul Henry and Joyce (Williams) Semler. David was employed with Brothers Trading Company (Victory Wholesale Grocers) as a forklift driver retiring with high seniority after 32 years; he loved his job and cherished all of his co-workers. David is survived by his beloved wife, Vickie (Young) Semler; son, Brian Semler; brothers, Gary (Sharon) Semler and Larry Semler; sister, Linda (Dallas) Semler-Hale; nephew, Sean Semler; great nephews, Jaden and Mason Semler; and numerous extended Texas family members and friends. David was an avid sports fan, especially for Ohio State football. David enjoyed spending time at the beach with Vickie and seeing his family in Texas. Along with his love for sports, he loved to golf, as well as hike with his friends. David ran track and cross country; and still maintains a pole vault record at the Fairborn Baker High School and Central State of the year 1973. If desired, memorial contributions may be mad to the Alzheimer's Association- Miami Valley Chapter in memory of Dave. A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date by the family.
